Which NCLEX Prep Has a Pass Guarantee? The Rules Compared (2026)

Written & reviewed by nurse educators·2 min read·Updated 2026-10-29
The short answer

Most NCLEX pass guarantees come with conditions: a US or Canadian nursing school, a specific plan, a time limit after graduation, or a number of questions you must complete. NCLEXPace's Pass Guarantee comes with any paid plan and has no school or country limit: study 3 paid months, complete 80% of the bank with 85% accuracy and sit the exam within 90 days; if you do not pass, you get a refund of your latest payment or free extended access. We recommend NCLEXPace Ultimate for 6 months, US$99 paid once.

We make NCLEXPace, so read this guide knowing that. Every competitor fact below comes from that company's own page, read in October 2026. Terms and prices change, so read the full terms on each site before you buy.

What to check in any guarantee

  • Where you studied: many guarantees exclude nurses educated outside the US or Canada.
  • Which plan: a guarantee only on the most expensive plan raises the real price.
  • Work required: questions answered, accuracy, readiness tests, class attendance.
  • Time limits: a deadline after graduation, a test-date window, a claim deadline.
  • Refund or extension: a refund returns money; an extension gives more study time.

Our recommendation

For most students, especially internationally educated nurses, we recommend NCLEXPace Ultimate for 6 months (US$99, or US$16.50 a month, paid once, nothing renews). The Pass Guarantee comes with it, and it works from any nursing school in any country. Six months is long enough to reach the guarantee's study goal (80% of the bank at 85% accuracy) without rushing, and the plan includes unlimited CAT readiness exams, so you can see when you are ready before you book.

Common follow-up questions on Compare NCLEX Prep.

Which NCLEX prep has a money-back guarantee?

NCLEXPace (refund of the latest payment or free extended access, any paid plan) and Kaplan (tuition refund or a free repeat, with eligibility rules). NCLEX Bootcamp and Archer Review offer guarantees on certain plans; SimpleNursing extends access; UWorld lists none.

Does UWorld have a pass guarantee?

UWorld lists no pass guarantee on its NCLEX-RN pricing page.

Can international nurses use an NCLEX pass guarantee?

Check the school rule. Kaplan's and NCLEX Bootcamp's guarantees ask for an accredited US or Canadian program; NCLEXPace's guarantee has no school or country limit.

Is a refund better than free extended access?

A refund returns your money; extended access gives you more time to study for the retake. NCLEXPace lets you choose either.

What do I need to do to qualify for the NCLEXPace guarantee?

Study at least 3 paid months, complete 80% of the question bank with 85% accuracy, and sit the NCLEX within 90 days.
