How to register for the NCLEX in Prince Edward Island
To work as an RN in Prince Edward Island you register with the Prince Edward Island College of Nursing & Midwifery (PEICNM, formerly CRNPEI and CRNMPEI). You create a profile, submit the New Graduate application, then the NCLEX Exam Application (CA$175) appears on your dashboard; PEICNM makes you eligible with Pearson VUE and emails your result two business days after the exam. A Provisional Registration lets you work under RN supervision while you pass the NCLEX-RN within 12 months.

How long it takes
PEICNM emails exam results 2 business days after the exam; ask after 10.
Retake after at least 45 days.
Provisional Registration: pass the NCLEX-RN within 12 months of being made eligible; internationally educated nurses get three attempts in those 12 months.
PEICNM must make you eligible with Pearson VUE within 365 days of your Pearson VUE registration; the ATT is then valid about 90 days.
Criminal record checks expire six months after issue.
Registration year November 1 to October 31; the reduced fee applies from May 1.
Mistakes that cost people time or money
The CA$175 is PEICNM's exam application fee, separate from Pearson VUE's CA$360; budget both.
Starting in May or later? Registration costs CA$265 instead of CA$465, but the year still ends October 31.
Finish the jurisprudence exam while you wait for the ATT; it is on your dashboard and is required for registration.
The regulator has been renamed twice (CRNPEI, CRNMPEI, now PEICNM); old crnpei.ca links redirect to peicnm.ca.

Is CRNPEI the same as PEICNM?
Yes. The College of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island (CRNPEI) became the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of PEI (CRNMPEI) and is now the Prince Edward Island College of Nursing & Midwifery (PEICNM), which also regulates LPNs, RPNs, NPs and midwives. The website is peicnm.ca.
